We are a group of students from Marketing and this blog is created to increase the awareness of recycling.
With the worsening of global warming and rapid depletion of resources, it is important that everyone does their part by recycling.
Do check out this blog for weekly updates!
The Cause
Our green campaign revolves around the general principles of the 3R’s but with a twist which focuses more on the recycling aspect. The recycling aspect will have some form of controversy in it hence the title ‘’Reduce! Reuse! Recycle?’’. The ‘’Recycle?’’ at the end serves as both an attention grabber (As it is different from the normal 3R’s title and thus will draw in the attention) and the focal point of our topic.
The controversy in question would be that ‘’Is recycling really what we think it is? Good in all ways?’’. Thus our blog posts will not only cover the general recycling methods/information but will highlight the negative aspect of recycling (E.g. Recycling paper is actually harmful to the environment).
There are various reasons as to why we chose to go ahead with this cause. Firstly, like all other campaign, we wish to be able to communicate the information over to our audiences and thus educate them. Secondly, in-view of all the other campaigns being run by the other participating groups, in order for us to stand out, we decided to do something out of the norm, instead of promoting/educating about how good recycling is, we decided to do the opposite. This will also allow us to educate and provide new information about recycling to our audiences instead of providing them with information they already know.
